Biarritz vacation villa near beach – set in 15 acres of parkland in the heart of the Basque countryside just outside Bayonne, La Tuiliere is just 6 miles from the nearest of the beautiful sandy beaches that grace the long coastline of the Cote Basque. With its large heated pool and sunbathing area, this villa is perfect for easy, outdoor summer holiday living. Children will love having plenty of space to play, teenagers will enjoy the table tennis and table football, and the adults are bound to appreciate the lovely grounds.
Accommodation at La Tuiliere is spread across the main house, the annex and the barn, which makes it well suited for families travelling together, and it would be ideal place for a celebration or a special meal. There is a wonderful reception room in the Barn which has a bar and comfortable seating – perfect for everyone to meet up for an evening aperitif. The kitchen is well-equipped but if you don’t feel like cooking, a local chef can conjure up a variety of dishes for you using locally-caught fish and regional produce, according to your preferences. Alternatively there are plenty of restaurants in the area: you are deep in the countryside here yet still close to the vibrant town of Bayonne. Bayonne is proud of its heritage as France’s oldest centre of chocolate-making and bull-fighting. Every summer it holds a popular festival with corridas, bull running and concerts, which is not to be missed!
Just a mile from this Biarritz vacation villa near beach is the village of St Martin de Seignanx, where you will find basic shops, a supermarket, a weekly market on Saturdays and tennis courts. Other towns well worth taking the time to visit during your stay include Biarritz and St Jean de Luz, slightly further south.

This is such a beautiful region of lush countryside and the Landes pine forests, and of course it also has the amazing sandy beaches of the Cote Basque, which are a very easy drive from La Tuiliere. I love being in this part of France, having lunch or dinner in some of Bayonne’s fine restaurants (try those along the canal), or strolling along the promenade in Biarritz. Capbreton is a delightful and busy seaside resort with an active fishing harbour and a great holiday atmosphere. La Tuiliere would make a really excellent base for family holidays.
