Loire Chateau with private pool - Surrounded by well tended gardens and extensive parkland, this splendid period property is built on the shores of its private lake, within easy access of many renowned Chateaux and Manor Houses in the Loire Valley.
Enjoy afternoon tea in the lakeside gazebo, or an evening meal watching the sun set over the water. The house has a charm reminiscent of a bygone era, with original tiled and wooden floors, panelled walls and ceilings, and marble fireplaces.
This is an ideal base from which to visit the famous châteaux of the Loire Valley. Among the most renowned are those at Amboise, Blois, Azay-le-Rideaux and Chenonceaux - a visit to the Loire region would be incomplete without seeing these splendid properties. The nearby town of Château-Renault has a weekly farmers' market, banks, pharmacy, supermarkets and a cinema. The town was founded on the leather industry: you can visit the tannery museum and also the local château, which was built in 1150 by the Comte de Blois Thibaut V. The chateau is now the Mairie, but still offers the best views over the town.

The caretakers live in a private cottage at the entrance to the grounds. They can provide fresh eggs from the hens and vegetables from the vegetable garden on request. There are two guard dogs (groenendale, Belgium shepherd). Owing to the many water features at this property it is not recommended for young children.
