This would be the perfect place to stay if you want to be able to explore Aix on foot. Just imagine those relaxing days you could spend exploring art galleries and museums, browsing in the shops and relaxing at the pavement cafes ... You can walk back to this lovely villa in a matter of minutes, and later it would be so easy to stroll down to a restaurant for dinner. There are many excellent restaurants to choose from in and around the Cour Gambetta, it's impossible to name just one! There are many chic little boutiques as well as larger stores such as Monoprix (a French chain store excellent for fashions and other goods, all at very affordable prices). Whatever you do, don't miss the famous flower market at Place de l'Hotel on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. There is another famous weekly market on Place des Precheurs, where vendors come from all over Provence to sell fruit and vegetables as well as curiosities of all kinds.
