Luxury villa in Provence - This unique house is set in a delightful, mature garden, creating an oasis in the heart of the charming village of Alleins-en-Provence. You need only stumble a few metres for your morning croissant! With a rich backdrop of original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, the owner has used Moroccan, retro and French influences in both the colours and furniture to create an individual property that could feature in any interior design magazine.

The village square is only a few minutes walk from the house, and here you will find some small shops, a café-bar, a restaurant, and a weekly market on Tuesdays. The village itself is typical of the Midi, and it boasts a picturesque ruined chateau, floodlit at night, perched on a rocky outcrop above the terracotta rooftops.

Le Moulin Alleins is ideally located for hiking or sight-seeing in both the Luberon and the Alpilles National Parks: the beautiful Alpilles mountains may be familiar to you as they feature in many of Van Gogh's paintings. For a change of pace, a visit to Aix-en-Provence about 20 miles away is a must! This is one of France's most beautiful university cities, with elegant, tree-lined boulevards, cascading fountains and a fascinating old town. Many musical events are held here during the summer months and there is a wealth of museums, art galleries, shops, pavement cafés and Michelin-star restaurants. This is one of the most delightful Provence houses available to let.

Double/twin bedroom (1.60m or 2 x 0.80m), high beamed ceiling (air-conditioning unit in passageway outside this bedroom).
Shower room, separate WC.

Second floor:
Single bedroom (large brass 1.10m bed), air-conditioning.
Double bedroom (1.40m), air-conditioning.
Separate WC.

Grounds:
Enclosed mature garden with Mediterranean palms and flowers. Enclosed, vine-covered courtyard with outdoor seating and a small, uncovered fishpond (1.30 x 0.90 & 40cm deep) - care with young children. Gates to pool & garden with covered dining area, poolside shower & barbecue.
This is a village house with adjoining neighbouring properties, but it is completely private. The owner lives in the neighbouring property should you require any assistance. On-street parking.
