This is one of my favourite houses in the area. It ticks all the boxes for the perfect holiday villa. It's got the views, a good-sized heated pool, its very own tennis court, lovely surroundings ... and it's near to many beautiful places. Stylish and comfortable inside … with a lovely housekeeper just down the lane who is always happy to help. Just around the corner you have Cabrieres d’Avignon with its well known restaurant “Le Vieux Bistro” by the church (where the TV film of Peter Mayle’s A Year in Provence was partly filmed) and there is a new restaurant in Coustellet just down the road, called WO Sushi, which may be worth trying. But an absolute must is “Maison Gouin”. This family-run business comprises restaurant, butcher and delicatessen, all organic. Best of all is that when you have dinner or lunch here you are invited down to the cellar to choose your own bottle. Coustellet is also famous for having the best farmers’ market in Provence: this is held on Sundays and not with the tourists in mind, so is a true Provencal experience. Mas des Murets is available to let all year round, so you can enjoy Provence in every season.
