From the pool guests can enjoy dramatic views of the Dentelles de Montmirail hills and surrounding vineyards, whilst maybe anticipating the pleasure of a visit to the famous cellars in Beaumes de Venise to taste the muscat wine, or to the Friday morning market to sample the exquisite local olive oils and aromatic biscuits that can be found on many stalls.

The lively town of Carpentras, a few miles from the villa, also boasts a colourful weekly market whose traditions date back to antiquity, when the Greeks used to buy wheat, sheep and honey from this region! Today you are more likely to see black truffles, olive oil, honey, scented soaps and other local Provencal produce. Remains of Romanesque chapels, medieval ramparts and ruined castles, prehistoric caves and mills dot the landscape in this part of Provence, adding to the charm of the region. For an active holiday all sorts of outdoor sports ranging from horse riding, cycling, trekking, tennis, golf are available just a few minutes' drive from your charming Provence holiday cottage.
