Large Provencal farmhouse for vacation – Set just outside the ancient village of Mazan, Mas de Vaucluse is a pretty stone farmhouse full of character surrounded by a pleasant garden with mature trees, flower beds and shrubs. This restored 19th century villa is simply furnished according to the local rural taste and offers comfortable accommodation for large parties. Indoors there are typical Provencal archways, beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Outdoors you can enjoy the view of Mont Ventoux from the large flat lawn and gated pool.

Mas de Vaucluse is situated in the heart of the Vaucluse region, which is renowned for its vineyards. The Route de Vins wine route will take you through Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Vaqueras where you can taste some excellent vintages; alternatively there is a wine co-operative close to the villa where you can sample the regional wines without the drive!  Dotted with many legendary hilltop villages, this part of Provence boasts an interesting history dating back to Roman and prehistoric times. Take the time to stop and take a stroll in some of these villages: there are plenty of local markets where you can sample some delicacies or browse for antique bargains.

If you are feeling energetic, between the Monts de Vaucluse in the south and Mont Ventoux in the north there are many trails and paths for hiking and rock climbing. You can choose from a variety of outdoor activities available in the vicinity of your villa: walking, cycling and horse riding are all fantastic ways to explore this fascinating part of France.

Please note: a local road runs near the front of the house; there may be some road noise to the front and garden.
