Vaison-la-Romaine has a romantic medieval town perched high on the rocks overlooking its modern sister, full of bustling cafés, chic boutiques and small shops selling local handicraft and mouth-watering regional agricultural products. It is situated in the department of Vaucluse, renowned for its fine wines with many wine tours available.

There are cultural diversions such as the theatre shows and musical concerts held in the Roman amphitheatre in Orange, a visit to the gothic palace in Avignon or one of the many local museums. This Vaucluse villa rental is situated just 40 kms from Mont Ventoux, and less than 10 kms from the famous chalk cliffs of the Dentelles de Montmirail, there are also endless opportunities for hiking, cycling, rock climbing, kayaking and horse riding.
