This area of northern Provence has much to offer, from outdoor pursuits such as rock climbing, kayaking and white water rafting available in the stunning Gorges de l' Ardeche, to cycling through the beautiful villages of the northern Vaucluse, or a trip north to Montelimar, a delightful medieval market town with plenty of shops and restaurants, and most notably the home of Montelimar nougat, produced here since almond trees were imported from Asia in the 17th Century.
