Description Maison du Claret is a single storey French var villa overlooking the plains on the outskirts of Plan de la Tour, surrounded by vineyards and forest. Although newly built, the use of natural wood and terracotta tiles and the addition of a stone fireplace add warmth and character. The villa has a wonderful covered dining terrace overlooking the pool with far reaching views to the Massif des Maures. Plan de la Tour is a lively village with shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and a colourful weekly market. The seaside town of St.Maxime is only 15 minutes drive, or travel along the delightful coast road into Cannes or St Tropez. This region is dotted with medieval villages and the forested hills of the French Var provide ample opportunity for country walks. The more energetic may enjoy the Gorge du Verdon which is 1.5 hours drive north from this French var villa holiday, for climbing, canoeing, rafting and spectacular views. |
