Old Antibes is a traditional Mediterranean sea port, encircled by ramparts, with a weekly Provençal market. It' s harbour is home to many beautiful yachts. There are numerous narrow streets with restaurants, pavement cafes, shops and a medieval castle, now devoted to the works of Picasso. Juan les Pins is known for its sandy beach with an array of activities and restaurants, wide promenade bustling with craft stalls, and vibrant nightlife. If you enjoy walking, the original pilgrim' s trail up to the ' Phare de la Garoupe' lighthouse and chapel on the Cap d' Antibes is well worth it, not least for the spectacular views from the top of the hill. |
