Vascones is an utterly charming and authentic Gascony farmhouse for self catering rental. This 18th century hilltop farmhouse is situated in 10 acres of flower beds, lawns, orchard, fields and woodland in the deep south-west of France and enjoys panoramic views of the Pyrenees, hills and forests. Each room is large and comfortable, stylishly furnished and beautifully maintained. Accommodation is provided in the main farmhouse and converted barn. The elegant conservatory is perfect for dining whilst admiring the wonderful view and can be used in both summer and winter. This is a lovely comfortable house, full of character, in a particularly beautiful part of the Gers.
Gascony offers rolling hills, forests, rivers, lakes, bastide villages and small market towns, all set against the permanently snow-capped Pyrenees mountains. There is very little traffic in this predominantly rural area. The night skies are breathtaking, with no light pollution to compete with the stars! However, if you are looking for a change of pace, Pau is a large, vibrant and cultural town with lots to see and do.
