This charming, romantic holiday cottage, built in the local stone, enjoys a rural setting amid plum orchards and a working fruit farm. Furnished in a mixture of American and French styles and equipped to a very high standard, the thick stone walls of this beautiful property offer a cool summer escape, ideal for couples and small families.

A 10 minute stroll from this romantic holiday cottage brings you to the small village of St Maurin which hosts a great night market during July and August, and has a local restaurant and post office. Please note however that the walk, although pleasant, is along an unpaved road. Nearby Castelsagrat offers more amenities, and Valence d' Agen has a fabulous Tuesday market selling excellent local produce. Continue on from Valence to Moissac to visit its Romanesque abbey and cloisters, or head to the large town of Agen with its fashionable shops and Parc Walabi for a day out that's popular with adults and children alike. Cahors, with its famous medieval bridge, its old district with market and cathedral, and its relaxing pavement cafés, is another great destination for a straightforward day trip.

Situated between Bordeaux and Toulouse, the Lot et Garonne experiences a warm, dry climate and is characterised by warm weather in autumn, which is an ideal time to visit this romantic holiday cottage. A holiday in this part of the country will give you a real taste of authentic France.
