South West France Holiday Chateau - This delightful 18th century chateau sits in an elevated position and enjoys wonderful views of the rolling Quercy Blanc countryside.  The chateau, which is built around a courtyard with an original stone well and is flanked by square towers at either end of the main facade, has been built in the traditional local white stone. It retains all its original features, and these combine superbly with the warmth and homely comfort of the interior.

The chateau's extensive grounds are mainly laid to lawn, with lavender walks, forest trails, climbing roses and mature trees and shrubs, surrounded by magnificent 360-degree views. You can swim in the large salt water pool, play boules or dine al fresco on the open terrace while enjoying the peaceful and relaxing countryside.

To further enhance the quality of your stay, from June to mid September (and during the Christmas/New Year period) the chateau is fully staffed with housekeeping, butler and cook, to ensure that your holiday is memorably relaxing. This service can also be arranged at various other times of the year, for an additional charge.

The Quercy Blanc region, where the chateau is situated, is dotted with hundreds of charming villages that are well worth visiting, especially on market days when you can sample the excellent local produce of the South West of France. Don't miss a visit to Cahors, with its famous medieval bridge, the Pont de Valentré, its colourful market (every Wednesday and Saturday) and its relaxing pavement cafés ... a holiday in this part of the country will give you a real taste of authentic France.
