Riviera villa near sandy beaches and village - La Chaleureuse is a wonderful family villa set in a peaceful valley, surrounded by the wooded hills of the Var region close to Bormes-les-Mimosas and the excellent sandy beaches along this pretty, unspoilt stretch of coastline. The 'cottage' style of the exterior belies its spacious interior and contemporary décor adds further to the feeling of space and light throughout. An attractive vine-covered pergola terrace offers the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or an aperitif overlooking this tranquil scene.

Bormes-les-Mimosas is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France (un des plus beaux villages de France), and rightly so: known for its stunning flower displays for which it regularly wins prestigious awards, this delightful little medieval town is full of narrow streets, small squares and fountains and boasts a very favourable climate. It has exotic and botanical gardens, as well as a large park with walks and a children's play area. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, and a  traditional Provencal market is held in the main square every Wednesday morning.

The village is also considered a scuba-diving centre: a wide variety of watersports is available locally, such as parascending, water ski-ing, wake-boarding, jet ski-ing and sea fishing. Some of the prettiest beaches along the Riviera are within very easy reach - La Faviere, Le Lavandou, Plage de l'Estagnol or, slightly further along the coast, Cabasson. There is also the exotic bird & zoological garden at Les Londes des Maures just 7 miles from the villa. For a longer day trip you may want to sample the delights of cosmopolitan but charming St Tropez, or change the pace with a visit to the unspoilt Iles d'Or islands (Porquerolles, Le Levant and Port Cros); ferries depart from Lavandou and take about 45 minutes.
