This old farmhouse is for me an absolute dream, full of character with many original features such as the stone floor and the manger still left in the entrance hall. The house is surrounded by the most romantic heavenly-scented garden, planted with Mediterranean aromatic plants and roses, climbers growing everywhere like vines, wisterias and more roses. The large swimming pool, reached by way of the lavender-edged stone steps, is situated at the top of the garden and is a real "wow" factor with its cool summer kitchen and bar - the design inspired by the famous bar at Club 55 on Pampelonne beach.

Another reason for choosing this area for your holiday is that there is a lot of entertainment to be had in most of the local villages, all kinds of different musical evenings and art exhibitions. La Garde Freinet circa 6 miles away is a lively village full of fun: it has several restaurants, some with live music in the evenings, such as le Kiosk and Le Carnotzet in the Place du Marche and La Faucado on the main street out of town towards Grimaud.

Grimaud is your nearest village, being just two miles away, and here you have a choice of places to eat, ranging from a simple and charming pasta restaurant to a restaurant of haute cuisine. There is a newspaper shop and a chemist in the village but for serious food shopping I would advise going to the Geant Casino on the road to St Tropez (this is about 10 minutes' drive from the house) or to LeClerc in Cogolin (again, just 10 minutes down the road).
