And don't forget the colourful and lively harbour down the road at Port Grimaud (mostly traffic-free!).  Slightly further away is Cogolin, well known for its craft factories. For a day away from the beaches of the Riviera, why not head slightly inland to the Massif des Maures? These beautiful hills are thickly forested with sweet chestnut, cork oak, holly and pine trees. The village of Collobrières is the centre of the local cork and sweet chestnut industries, and if you like rambling or hiking, this is an ideal place to start.
