This clean and compact modern villa would be the perfect base for your holiday if you are keen on being near a major village with all its facilities. The village of Lorgues is a lively place during the season but most famous for its market on Tuesdays. The major part of the market, which stretches through the whole town and around the church, is full of clothes, jewellery and some pottery; at the top end of the town you’ll find all the food stalls. Arrive early in the morning when they have just arranged their stalls, it is such a wonderful sight.
After the market there are a choice of restaurants, one of my favourites being La Table de Paul near the 'tabac' in the main street. Once you have done your shopping you may consider visiting the lovely 12th C church at the heart of the village or, if wine tasting interests you, there are several estates worth visiting near Lorgues such as Chateau l’Arnaude, Estello and Chateau Bernes, to name but a few.
