French country holiday - Vallee Verte, as the name suggests, is set in a beautiful green valley high in the hills of the Var region, surrounded by olives and vines with open views to the distant hills. This charming Mas has been beautifully restored with warm terracotta tiled floors and country furnishings, providing a peaceful retreat away from the madding crowds of the Riviera, yet within striking distance of the coast and Provence.

There are many beautiful towns and villages in the vicinity of this French country holiday home; Cotignac, Salernes, Aups, truffle capital of Provence, and Tourtour, known as the ' village in the sky' with breathtaking views and stunning sunsets. Entrecasteaux with its marvellous chateau and gardens and the 12th century Cistercian monastery, Abbey de Thoronet. Slightly further afield, the town of Lorgues hosts the best market in the area each Tuesday, and the regional capital of Draguignan is well worth a visit.

Lac de Ste Croix and the spectacular Gorge du Verdon for wind surfing, sailing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting are all within an hour of this charming French country holiday home.
