Umbria period country villa rental - Set among olive groves
and sunflower fields in the heart of the peaceful Umbrian countryside,
Villa Favorita is a truly charming villa dating back to the 17th century.
The meticulous refurbishment carried out by the owners has enhanced the
authentic charm of this villa where original local stones, exposed wooden
beams, terracotta floors and period furniture create the perfect 'country
atmosphere' for your holiday in Umbria. The views over oak-clad hills and
rolling fields are splendid and can be best enjoyed from your private covered
pergola as you sip your morning cappuccino, or whilst relaxing on the comfortable pool
loungers. In the privacy of your garden, planted with roses and lavenders, you
can choose to 'dine out' and book a table in your own
private restaurant where the chef will prepare delicious meals with
local produce and flavours, ideal for those special occasion dinners or wedding celebration.
A few miles from Villa Favorita you find lovely rural villages with shops
and weekly markets. Todi, further away, is a gorgeous medieval hilltop village.
In Deruta you can buy bright coloured hand-painted ceramics and sample local
olive oil and other Italian gastronomic delicacies. Among the exciting outdoor
activities you can practise in this area are: biking along beautiful trails, canoeing
and white water rafting in Marmore waterfalls, the tallest and most spectacular in
Italy.
Deep in in the heart of a peaceful and natural surrounding, this villa is located on a small hill surrounded by sunflowers and olive trees. The location is in an absolute well-being area, far away from city chaos and close to major public services. The view is magnificent and inspires a great sense of peace, in the silence of nature you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. The facilities are constantly well maintained, the swimming pool and all outdoor areas personally looked after by the owner. The small and calm town of Marsciano, which is only at few kms away, offers the chance to get to know the true customs and habits of this splendid region. You can find genuine local dishes to savour and walk peacefully through the streets of the town enjoying the simplicity of the local people, who are always sociable and helpful. From here, at a short distance it is easy to visit important centres of historical and cultural interest such as Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto, Deruta (famous for its ceramics), Gubbio, Spello and the lake Trasimeno. The villa is also a perfect getaway to relax and unwind after busy days touring Florence.
