5 child-friendly attractions in brač island

There’s no question that Brač is an ideal location for a family holiday. Brač is perhaps less touristy than the other places we’ve talked about in our Croatia family guides. What’s more, there are plenty of outdoor activities that the kids will enjoy.

Zlatni Rat Beach

fact, it’s been noted as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. It’s easy to see why though, with this unique shaped beach offering picturesque views of the Adriatic Sea. Zlatni Rat Beach is a spit of land, made up of 600 metres of beach that meet at a point and a pine grove at its heart, that reach into the Hvar Channel. The beach is made up of pebbles which are so small that it’s easy to walk across, plus has the bonus of being easy to clean off.

Stonemason School

A unique experience includes the stonemason school of Brač. This Croatian destination is known for its stonemasonry, which is evident when you walk around. But, did you know that Brač stone has been used further afield in places such as Washington’s White House? A visit to the Stonemasonry School in Puscisca, founded in 1909, will allow you to learn everything there is to know about stonemasonry, as well as see some work in action.

Olive Oil Museum

You can see how olive oil is made in a 17th-century building located in Skrip. In this mill, they produce olive oil in traditional methods using traditional equipment. The owner will take you around to tell you all about their work and teach you the ways, as well as highlight the importance of olive oil trade for the local village. Of course, the highlight for children will be the animals who call the olive mill their home.

Vidova Gora Lookout

If you’re looking for a great vantage point to enjoy Brač Island, look no further than Vidova Gora lookout. Standing at 778 metres this is the highest point in Brač, offering views across Bol and Zlatni Rat Beach, and beyond!

Inflatable Water Parks

Bound to be a firm favourite with the kids is the inflatable water parks found in Supetar and Bol. This will be a lot of fun as the kids (and adults too) clamber up the sides and jump into the water. Just be cautious that this would best be suited to older children as it can be more complicated than it looks.

Brač Island holiday villas make for idyllic accommodation when visiting the island. You can explore all the wonderful activities here and then return to your luxurious villa each night to relax and unwind. Why not take a look at what you could book now?
