getting to brittany

Brittany is one of the UK and Ireland’s favourite French
holiday destinations, due to its closeness, pleasant climate and wonderful
scenery and attractions. If you’re planning on heading to this lovely part of
northern France and staying at one of our villas in Brittany, there are several
ways to travel here, so you can choose the best mode of transport to suit you.

By ferry

Surrounded on three sides by the sea, Brittany is a coastal
destination with two main ferry ports which are easily reached from the UK. You
can travel either by car, with a caravan or even as a foot passenger to two
major ports: Roscoff and St-Malo. Direct routes are offered from Plymouth to
Roscoff, and from Poole, Portsmouth or Weymouth to St-Malo. You can also sail
to Roscoff directly from Ireland, from either Cork or Rosslare.

By train

After taking the Eurostar from either London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet
or Ashford to Paris-Nord, you can easily reach Brittany from Paris via the TGV
Atlantique train. This high-speed train, which leaves from Paris Montparnasse,
reaches Rennes in 2 hours and St-Malo in 3 hours. If you’re looking at visiting
Mont-St-Michel, the tourist line Ligne Baie runs along the bay from Granville
to St-Malo, making it easier than ever to visit this popular landmark.

By plane

Perhaps the quickest way to travel to Brittany, there are
several airports across the UK and Ireland who run routes to destinations
across Brittany, making travel convenient whatever region you’re in, and often
at a low cost. Below are the direct routes offered by airlines between the UK
