From the 4th December, visitors to the Port de
Monaco will be transported to a lively Christmas village bursting with festive
charm and dedicated to bringing an unrivalled atmosphere to this Cote d?Azur
Having made its debut in 1999, the Christmas village
promises all kinds of wintery delights, from a skating rink to rows of
traditional stalls. Once the village opens, adults and children alike flock to
the ice rink, which has undergone a magical transformation from the Rainier III
outdoor swimming stadium to become a winter wonderland. By night, visitors may
even be able to experience go-karting on ice and special skating shows with
professional skaters and ice dancers.
Family fun is also promised elsewhere in the village, where
children can enjoy rides such as the miniature train and merry-go-round, as
well as games such as duck fishing. There?s also plenty of shopping to be done
at the market, lined with wooden chalets selling all kinds of products
including gourmet food, arts and crafts and unique Christmas gifts.
The Village is also a fantastic place to head to on New
Year?s Eve, when there will be an extravagant fireworks display at midnight to
welcome in the New Year, as well as entertainment and live music.
Wrapping up on January 3rd, the Monaco Christmas
Village is the perfect place to add to your to-do list if you?re staying in a
Cote d?Azur villa.
