Prepare for some world-class entertainment at the International Monte-Carlo Circus Festival

16th December, 2015
First established in 1974, the International Monte-Carlo Circus Festival is now the world?s leading circus event, welcoming selected troupes from all over the world. Thousands of visitors, both performers and spectators, descend on the event each year, which will be back for 2016 between January 14 and 24.

Held at the Chapiteau de l?Espace Fontvieille marquee, circus entertainers of all kinds including clowns, acrobats, trapeze artists and animal trainers will take your breath away, with the best overall performer presented with the Golden Clown award. Receiving the Golden Clown award is the most prestigious honour in the circus world, with previous winners including Anatoliy Zalevskiy of the China National Acrobatic Troupe, Alexis Gruss and the Caselly family.

As well as celebrating the biggest names in the world of circus entertainment, the festival also highlights up and coming artists from all over the world in the New Generation Festival, created in 2012 by HSH Princess Stephanie and jury president Pauline Ducruet. It gives young artists the opportunity to perform in a real circus for the first time, bringing more opportunities to the future generation of circus professionals.

This year?s event will consist of a number of ?Golden Shows?, showcasing the very best of the entertainment which has been performed at the festival over the years. If you?re looking for some world-class entertainment during your French chateau holidays, then the International Monte-Carlo Circus Festival may be just what you?re looking for.
