Eurostar launches more regular service between London and the South of France

08th April, 2016
Eurostar has now launched a more regular service between London and the South of France, calling at the popular cities of Lyon, Avignon and Marseille.

Departing from London St Pancras, the high-speed service will run three times weekly, taking passengers directly to Lyon in 4 hours 40, Avignon in 5 hours 50 and Marseille in just under 6 and a half hours. This means that if you leave London just after 7am, you can be in Lyon just in time for a spot of lunch!

The service will become even more frequent in high season between July 6 and August 31, running every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in this period. It will then revert back to three times a week between September 1 and November 1.

Prices begin at just £45 for a standard single ticket to Lyon, meaning the new service will really give budget airlines a run for their money. Other advantages include convenient departure and arrival times and the fact that you can bring more than one item of luggage on board. An upgrade to the Standard Premium Service also begins from just £20 each way, and includes a continental breakfast and light lunch on outbound journeys and a snack and light dinner on return journeys.

If you’re planning on heading to the South of France this summer, perhaps to soak up the sun at one of our St Tropez villas, then the Eurostar may well make your journey incredibly simple.
