For your peace of mind
It’s fair to say the past year has been difficult for us all in one way or another.
Covid-19 has impacted everyone, but we’re relieved that there finally seems to be an end in sight.
Planning your 2021 holiday may not have been a priority throughout the pandemic, but with hope on the horizon, now’s the time to start thinking ahead.
Though the thought of a sun-soaked escape is more a reality than a fantasy now, we do understand the financial risks of booking a holiday in these uncertain times.
With 33 years’ experience in the villa rental market, we’ve been listening to the concerns of our holidaymakers and are here to provide you with advice and support.
What we’re doing
To mitigate the risks of booking a holiday and provide peace of mind in the current climate, we’re amending our terms and conditions for travel in calendar 2021 with immediate effect.
What has changed?
Our amended terms and conditions state that you’ll be able to amend a booking date for up to 12 months ahead (subject to availability) or receive a full refund of monies paid to us if any of the conditions below apply to you:
1. If you are a UK national and within the 14 days of the date on which your property rental starts, the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (“FCDO”) state that only essential travel is permitted to the country in which the property is situated; or
2. If you are a non-UK national, a government department equivalent to the FCDO issues a similar statement; or
3. Irrespective of your nationality, if the borders of the country in which the property is situated are closed.
As you know, it is a condition of booking with us that you and your party have travel insurance. We’re aware of insurance companies which will cover Covid in terms of contracting the disease both before departure or while on holiday.
If you require assistance in locating an insurance company, please let us know. By way of example, we have seen such cover for a party of 4 at a premium of £68.
All the best,
The Quality Villas Team
