This contemporary villa is beautifully styled and furnished, set in large grounds on the outskirts of the village of Talmont St Hilaire, close to the beaches of the Vendee and the popular seaside resort of Les Sables d’Olonne. Spacious both inside and out, with a charming courtyard-style outdoor dining terrace, this villa is perfect for young families.
Talmont St Hilaire is a lively village with good facilities, dominated by the local castle ruins of Chateau de Talmont, once the home of Richard the Lionheart, where events are now held during the summer months.
Les Sables d’Olonne has a rich seafaring history and was once home of the pirate Francois d’Olonnais. Today its connection with the sea is probably best celebrated through the wonderful seafood platters available at many local restaurants, washed down with a glass of local wine. With a climate to rival the Cote d’Azur, beach holidays have become very popular in this region, particularly for those who find the rolling waves of the Atlantic sea exhilarating. Surfing is popular here of course, but there are many other beach activities, and Veillon Plage is considered one of the finest beaches of the Vendee.

Villa St Hilaire gives you an excellent opportunity to explore the Vendee coast. You can laze on the long sandy beaches you'll find after walking through pine forests, mess about on the creeks or soak up the atmosphere of the cosmopolitan resort of Les Sables d'Olonne, famous for 'The Vendee Globe'. Why not visit the shell museum, walk along the prom then enjoy a meal in one of the many seafood restaurants? The newly opened O'Gliss Water Park at Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits is also a great day out for kids. Or you could just spend the day in the shady gardens and by the pool at this stunning, contemporary villa.”
Has everything I want in a holiday let
Has everything I want in a holiday let. A large, well appointed house, within walking distance from shops and restaurants. The pool is large, deep and maintained at a comfortable temperature. The coast and other towns are a short drive or cycle away.
We had a super holiday in Villa St Hilaire
We had a super holiday in Villa St Hilaire and found the house to be excellent – exactly what we had hoped for. Many thanks to your and your team. Kind regards Fergus
Better than expected. All beautiful.
We had the most wonderful holiday at this villa. The house is spacious and welcoming, and the kitchen is amazing. Large beautiful garden and wonderful pool. Bliss sitting outside on one of the three patios (or on the grass under the mimosa trees) reading a good book and enjoying a G&T. Good location too with great local restaurants and the sea nearby. One of the best houses we've stayed at in 20 years of holidaying in France. The visit from the housekeeper two days a week was also very welcome
We had a great stay of 4 weeks at this cosy and very well designed villa, where each of a big family can find a quiet corner for himself. The garden is much bigger than it appears on the photo, there is always enough shade in a hot day. Villa's kitchen deserves a prise of "a best designed kitchen" for its convenience. A perfect villa for staying with little children.
Delightful and relaxing
A superbly equipped home from home - delightful and relaxing.
Well looked after
Better equipped than others we have rented in the past from other companies. Basic toiletries and cleaning materials supplied were very generous and made it clear that this was someone's home you were staying in, which was a lovely, welcoming feeling, unlike stark hliday rentals we have had before. The only lacking for us was a lack of hooks for bathrobes and towel rails in the bathrooms. The pool was a major reason for us booking this villa and it did not disapoint. It was immaculate. Again, like the villa itself, we felt we were being well looked after.
