A small village bordering many communes, the town of Plascassier was home to the world-renowned singer Edith Piaf – a tranquil village, supplying the perfume industry in Grasse. With wonderful countryside walks surrounding the village, small houses, a post office, local school and restaurant, it’s as a village should be, but there’s also a main shopping area nearby for all your essentials. The lovely little church – the Church of Saint-Pancrace and Saint-Donat - and a pretty fountain next to it, is worth seeing. With jasmines growing in abundance, Plascassier has six jasmine growers supplying the Grasse perfume industry including Domain de Manon, which is open to visitors. Stroll out into the countryside for a scented walk. There are several in the area, some that pass lovely manicured properties and delightful views.
