Location, location, location! That’s what it’s all about at Villa Ferrat. Based on the glamorous and beautiful, yet unspoilt St Jean Cap Ferrat, this is certainly an inspiring location, and one of the most prestigious on the Cote d’Azur. Villa Ferrat with its own private infinity pool enjoys a secluded position amongst lovely pine trees and is within walking distance of the beach, port, shops and restaurants.
This spacious family villa dates back to the 1920s and sympathetic refurbishment has allowed a small taste of 'Les Années Folles’ – the Golden Twenties - to remain. Cosy and inviting, this is a lovely space for a family to enjoy a holiday together. And with lots of open space boasting plenty of shade for those balmy sunny days, and a secluded swimming pool to use at your leisure, Villa Ferrat is an absolute pleasure.
For old style glamour, you won’t find much better than this enchanting peninsula between Nice and Monaco. Near the villa you’ll find a wonderful coastal path with views stretching from St Jean Cap Ferrat to Beaulieu-sur-Mer. And, with Villefranche-sur-Mer on the other side of the Cap, there is plenty to explore close to home. It’s no wonder the area has attracted the rich and famous throughout the years. Despite its beauty, it would be a shame not to venture further into Monaco to see the iconic Palace and Casino in Monte Carlo for an exciting day trip out…
“Good villa within walking distance of a village, restaurants and the beach are like gold dust ... but here we've struck lucky and have a beautiful garden to boot! Villa Ferrat is only 10 minutes' walk from the port of St Jean, where you can follow in the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, Jean Cocteau and David Niven, who all stayed here at some point in their lives. I strongly recommend that you pay a visit to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, built in 1912, to admire its fountains, paths, waterfalls and ponds, and to see the 9 splendid gardens, all on a different theme –French formal , English, Spanish, Florentine, Provençal, exotic, Japanese and Mexican, not to mention the rose garden which is quite unforgettable. The tiny principality of Monaco is only ten miles away and would also make a great trip. You could even leave the car behind one day and take the coastal train to Ventimiglia in Italy: the sea views along this stretch of the line are stunning. http://www.villa-ephrussi.com/en/ephrussi/”
