Just 10km from Cannes and 40km from Nice in the south of France is the lovely port town of Theoule Sur Mer. Nestled amongst the rocks of the Esterel Mountains, this little coastal town can be easily reached by car or boat and is worth the visit. A peaceful town with superb sandy beaches - said to be some of the most beautiful on the French Riviera, and picture-perfect rocky red cliffs will provide you with plenty of amazing photo opportunities. Coves and inlets are carved into the great cliffs, making for wonderful exploration, and The Plage de l’Aigulle, which is part of the Parc de l’Aiguille national park, is both wild and beautiful. The beaches in this area have excellent facilities, plenty of places to eat and more besides. You can take a walk around the marina, hire a boat or partake in a watersport of your choice. Or, watch the locals play petanque, go horse riding in the countryside and maybe visit the port, where the first public pleasure boat marina ever, opened in Europe. And, if that isn’t enough, go shopping and head to the local market, on every Friday in the centre of town. In Theoule, the whole family is catered for.
