Set in large, private grounds in a quiet residential area this Cote d’Azur villa with pool near Valbonne is spacious and comfortable. The villa is only a 10-minute walk from the village's lively market, elegant shops and highly-rated restaurants, with the beaches of Cannes and Antibes only 10 miles away.

The living area is spacious and light, with unusual curved walls and a large fireplace. Outdoor terraces offer plenty of space for dinners al fresco, including a fabulous pizza oven and built-in barbecue. Surrounded by a lush garden mainly laid to lawn, mature shrubs and large palm trees, this villa enjoys total privacy and therefore is ideal for those wishing to relax and get away from a frantic pace of life, but still be able to enjoy an evening stroll to a good restaurant.

As you leave La Pervenche, after a ten-minute stroll you will come across Valbonne which is a lovely village full of life and things to do. Why not start your day with a coffee and croissant in a local café, spend some time browsing among the market stalls and then enjoy a typical Mediterranean lunch in one of the many open-air bistros in the main square, as you watch the world go by. Your experience of the Cote d’Azur's lifestyle wouldn't be complete if you didn't include Cannes in your itinerary. Here you can choose to relax on the beach or enjoy some designer retail therapy. At nightfall you may want to enjoy the panorama of twinkling lights as you stroll along the promenade waiting to dine in one of the many restaurants a la mode.

“ This villa is perfectly situated for those who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday. I recommend the lovely village of Valbonne where there are some nice restaurants to try out, such as Le Café Latin or La Bergerie. Place des Arcades is always so lively all year round, and also the Church and Monastery are worth visiting. You will enjoy exploring the countryside: in Plascassier you will find ferme Manon, where they grow flowers for the perfume industry of Grasse. In this town you can even visit a perfume factory and the Museum of Perfumeries. If you want to be part of the glittery towns of the border, I suggest a visit to Cannes and Antibes which are at short distance from your villa. ”

  • A good stay

La Pervenche is set in a highly secluded plot with an entirely private pool. It is a short drive from Valbonne (or a medium walk if it is not too hot). It has four good double bedrooms which are all true doubles. Two on the ground floor have en suite shower rooms and on the first floor are two with terraces and en suite bath rooms. The Kitchen is large with electric oven/hob which can take a while to heat up but is well equipped otherwise. The lounge is large with a TV and blueray player entered directly from the front door. There is another entrance to one of the bedrooms on the ground floor which also has the utility room off it and a platform as well as conventional double bed. Outside at the front there is room for several cars and at the back gardens and the large pool area. The pool is not heated but was 28C when I was there in late August 15 no doubt due in part to a particularly hot summer. The villa has slightly dated look, furniture and fittings but this did not spoil our enjoyment of our fortnight.

  • The villa and pool were both amazing

Your colleague Muriel phoned me two days before we left to let me know that we could go to the property early to drop off luggage, put away shopping etc as she had spotted that we had an early arriving flight. This also gave us the opportunity to meet our housekeeper, who was enormously helpful with local knowledge, top tips etc! I don't believe that here are many companies who would have been this considerate and attentive to detail - thank you. She pointed out to us that she had just discovered that the kitchen sink was leaking (which the previous occupants had not told her about) but that she would get hold of a plumber as soon as possible following the weekend. Unfortunately, by Sunday it became so bad that we could not use the sink at all - which was pretty inconvenient as you can imagine! However, I texted both Francesca and Muriel and they somehow managed to find the only plumber working in August in the South of France and it was fixed by the time we returned from being out on the Monday. The villa and pool were both amazing and exactly as described and photographed (not always the case with holiday properties!) and we had a fantastic holiday. I don't think we have ever been to such a well appointed villa - from pool toys, to kitchen equipment, to small touches like sun hats and umbrellas! Thank you to you and your staff for being the best holiday company we have used so far - we wouldn't hesitate to use you again and have already recommended you to friends.
