This French villa with pool near Vence is located in the hills behind this lovely medieval town, which is just a mile away. Set over three levels Villa Mozart has a friendly, welcoming feel: there is a spacious sun terrace overlooking the pool, where you can enjoy relaxing outdoor meals and a great view over this part of the Cote d’Azur. There is also a charming garden on a lower level with boules pitch and pergola.
Vence has a classic French square and very interesting church (the famous “Matisse chapel”), as well as pavement cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by. The old walled town is a delight to wander around. There are fountains at every turn! And whether you want to buy fruit and vegetables at the daily market, browse in attractive art galleries and craft shops, or simply slow right down and soak up the atmosphere in a pavement cafe, with a coffee and croissant or something a little stronger, you will be well catered for here. The enchanting perched village of St Paul de Vence nearby is another place you might like to spend some time.
Villa Mozart is very well positioned if you want to explore the French Riviera – you are spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to go! The bigger towns of Cannes, Nice and Grasse all offer a different kind of experience, while smaller places such as the old town and harbour at Antibes are also very appealing. You also have numerous beaches of course, with the closest only 6 miles away. For a change of scene you could easily travel a little further on to well-known Garoupe Plage, or take the children to the excellent water park at Biot en route to Antibes. All sorts of watersports are available in this area of course. A day out in the little principality of Monaco is another option, and you could even take the train, which follows this scenic stretch of coastline. This French villa with pool near Vence certainly makes an excellent base for an undemanding yet rewarding South of France holiday at any time of the year.
“This charming villa is situated just a mile from the centre of Vence, a medieval town dating back to the 12th century which has kept both its ramparts and its Provencal atmosphere. You may be very interested in visiting the famous Matisse Chapel, which is very close to Villa Mozart. Vence is also famous for its 51 fountains, the best known being “La Fontaine du Peyra”, and you can follow a "Water Walk" around the town to make sure you see as many as possible! The old town is a treasure trove with its cathedral, chapels, squares and town hall: everywhere there is an invitation to stop and relax on a shady café terrace. There are over 200 marked paths for walkers. Just 3 miles away is St Paul de Vence, where art lovers will feel very at home. One particularly lovely feature of this villa is the charming garden, set out separately on a level below the pool ... very peaceful.”

Yes the house is really as nice as it appears
Our experience booking through Qualityvillas.com was great. As a first time European holiday home renter from the US, the Quality Villas team made it very easy to rent our villa and provided information and support that was very helpful!
About Villa Mozart -
Yes the house is really as nice as it appears in the online pictures! Onsite manager very helpful, and the neighbors were friendly. The house is located on a hill about a 10 minute walk above the town of Vence (and a few miles from St. Paul de Vence) so be prepared to walk down and back up the hill to get your morning baguette and coffee. Driving the last bit up the hill is a bit challenging due to the fact the last section of road is 1 car wide, but not very busy so we had no issues. The location is beautiful, and there is a separate large garden area below the home with a bulla (bocci) game area! The Master Bathroom is new and AMAZING - large tub, music system, automatic window shades. Outdoor area with pool and patio with covered seating is great and the view of the Mediterranean from the balcony is fantastic! Will definitely book again!
