Two beautifully refurbished, air-conditioned properties in the heart of a 175-acre working vineyard bordering the Canal du Midi, close to Carcassonne in the Languedoc-Roussillon and less than 1 hour from sandy Mediterranean beaches. This is the perfect property for family groups with two separate, fully equipped houses, a shallow children's pool alongside the main swimming pool, and a huge converted barn with summer kitchen and al-fresco dining facilities for all.
Part of a small vineyard hamlet, both properties, formerly the manor house and farm house, have been sympathetically refurbished, each offering unique character with all modern comforts. A large gravelled terrace runs the length of both houses with trees providing dappled shade to escape the mid-day sun. Dining for the whole party is available in the covered barn adjacent to the pool, just 20 metres from both houses. The surrounding buildings and barns are still used by the estate but one has been converted into a function room which you can hire for special events or celebrations.
The UNESCO World heritage city of Carcassonne is only 6 miles away for a fantastic array of restaurants hidden away in the quaint pedestrian cobbled streets within the city walls. If you enjoy cycling, why not hire bikes and take the Canal du Midi towpath, which runs through the estate and leads into Carcassonne within about 40 minutes' ride. In the opposite direction, a 30 minute stroll through the vines brings you to Trebes with a few local facilities on offer. Within one hour you can drive to Narbonne Plage, a 5km stretch of white sandy beach with life guards, children's play areas, watersports and a good selection of restaurants.

“ Two lovely houses absolutely ideal for large groups. Both houses are meticulously refurbished offering a unique charm but of an equal standard so nobody will feel like they got the short straw! The communal areas and outdoor living space are second to none and with 2 pools there's room for everyone to take a dip at once! We are sure you will enjoy sampling the delights of the estate which still produces good Languedoc wine. And of course historic Carcassonne is an absolute must. A day trip to Narbonne is recommended, and en route we suggest you stop in at the Abbaye de Fontfroide to see the beautiful gardens and perhaps even eat in their lovely restaurant. ”
