Exclusive contemporary vacation villa in Provence – Built on a hilltop in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park, Le Clocher is a contemporary designer villa set in open countryside, with beautiful views over the surrounding fields, hills and village of Cadenet. The tall belfry tower of the local church stands out from this verdant landscape and it is clearly visible from the house, situated under a mile away from this typical Provencal village, with its feudal castle, weekly market and open air theatre.

The modern architectural style and minimal furnishing of this elegant property makes use of glass panels, sliding doors and large windows to maximise the light and increase the sense of space. The garden has a large covered terrace, perfect for outdoor dining, where you can sit, relax and fully immerse yourself in the gentle Provencal ambience.

Thanks to its superb location, Le Clocher is an ideal base for your exploration of the region. In fact, this area offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as horse riding, fishing, hiking, cycling and archery. Avignon is further afield but its dramatic ramparts, fascinating Palais du Papes and artistic treasures certainly deserve a visit during your holiday in Provence.

Insider Tips

After a dark dreary winter this would be a great place to recharge your batteries. You are just just five minutes walk to Cadenet where you can lose yourself in this authentic Provencal village. Walk up to the castle ruins to enjoy the panoramic views of the valley or explore the underground tunnels and caves. Learn more about the history of the village by visiting the basketry museum, Musee de la Vannerie. Pick up some local produce, arts and crafts in the street market. Admire the baptismal fonts in the Ste Etienne church. We can also recommend some excellent restaurants in the village; “Le Dix'Vin”or ”Les Aromates” and “Le Moulin Gourmand”.  If you venture out to the village of Loumarin, you will find several restaurants: try the Auberge La Feniere for international cuisine, a lovely atmosphere and great  views.
