Ceyreste, in the Bouches-du-Rhone region of southern France boasts some charming sights that make this a lovely town to visit. Having preserved part of its surrounding walls, fortified gates and a selection of 17th century houses, the village is rather picturesque and a delightful place to stroll around. Take note of the traditional ‘cabarottes’ – narrow passageways linking streets and open places. There’s also a lovely Roman fountain and historic church. If you’re stayin in Ceyreste, there’s some excellent bakeries, small shops and a local neighbourhood restaurant. And there’s always the market on Friday mornings for another chance to buy the local produce. Close to the sea. There’s also the opportunity to enjoy a spot of sun on the nearby beaches of Saint Cyr et Bandol.
