L'Escalet Plage beachfront villa, selected by The Times 'Top 50 villas in the Med', in the 'best for the beach' category. Its not hard to see why. Ideally situated a few metres from L'Escalet Plage and its splendid cove in the Ramatuelle area, this beautifully renovated family villa with air conditioning and Jacuzzi hot tub enjoys direct access to the beach as well as breath-taking views over the bay between Cap Taillat and Cap Camarat.

This single-storey villa offers comfortable accommodation designed for relaxed, easy living in harmony with the surrounding seascape. Depending on the time of the day (and on your level of energy!), you can choose to jog on the beach or walk all the way to Pampelonne plage,  St Tropez or Gigaro plage, in the opposite direction. Alternatively, you may prefer to watch the ‘world sail by’ from the exclusive comfort of your sunbathing terrace or Jacuzzi tub, whilst sipping a refreshing cocktail. During your stay at Tour de la Baie you will soon become accustomed to having the Mediterranean Sea on your doorstep and swimming in the blue waters of L’Escalet bay as if you were swimming in your own private pool; no doubt this will become your favourite pastime - or possibly an addiction!

St Tropez is only a short drive from this charming villa. Once a picturesque, small fishing port, the town still retains most of the original appeal as its bay keeps attracting multimillionaire yachts. A ferry service connecting St Tropez to Ste Maxime provides an excellent alternative to the car for exploring the area. A little further inland, nestled in the hills above St Tropez, is the medieval village of Ramatuelle, commanding striking views over the surrounding bays. A visit to this delightful village is highly recommended, and it’s only a few minutes’drive from this beachfront villa on the French Riviera!

“ What a dream full of charm! There are not many places like this in the St Tropez area with direct access to the beach. Watch the sun go down over the bay drinking a glass of rose wine in the Balinese day bed; what a way to finish the day! If you want some action, St Tropez is the place for you. The famous Place de Lices is where the Saturday and Tuesday market take place. You can choose from fruit and vegetables to cashemere and handbags. If you feel like having a rest after all the shopping, you can have a drink at one of the trendy bars like Senequier in the Port and gaze at the amazing yachts moored in the bay. I highly recommend this villa, for an experience you will not regret. ”

  • We had a wonderful time at La Tour de la Baie

    P Gitlin

We had a wonderful time at La Tour de la Baie - as we expected having stayed at the same villa last year. The booking process was very easy and the personnel in your offices in the UK were extremely helpful and very accessible on the phone which from my point of view living outside of the U.K. was a real bonus. It is an exceptional property, not luxurious but exactly the sort of place which makes for a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The villa is well equipped, and best of all, ideally situated right on the beach which means a swimming pool is unnecessary. The terrace and sun deck are the perfect places to relax, enjoy the views of the beach and sea, or to enjoy meals - comfortable furniture and spaces designed to make the best of outdoor living. The kitchen has everything one would need in order to enjoy eating at home instead of dining out. The house is equipped with a very large fridge and freezer, as well as an electric juicer, electric blende, nespresso machine, and a very good barbecue in the garden. The villa is a short drive from the nearest supermarket which has a very good butcher, fishmonger, and greengrocer. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and adequate cupboards. In addition to the 2 bathrooms within the house, there is a wonderful bathroom outdoors, completely secluded and attractively designed - a real treat in very hot weather. The booking process and follow-up was very good; the information regarding check-in etc was received well before our departure date. The welcome from Quality Villas area manager and from the housekeeper were very good. The villa was well prepared for our stay and the checkout was straightforward and on time. The housekeeper for the property was always accessible as was the area manager. In terms of the service offered by Quality Villas, nothing could be found lacking. All in all our Quality Villas experience was excellent. The joy of La Tour de la Baie is that it is not a "chi-chi" pretentious property, but a comfortable holiday cottage where one can relax and enjoy the environment and the ambience created by the property. Please compliment the owners on an exceptional property. I hope very much to book the villa again next year and will no doubt be in touch in due course.

  • A taste of Paradise

    PG

Our party of 5 (2 couples and 1 single adult) spent a wonderful week at this villa. It is simply but tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The views from the well planted garden are exquisite, and the terrace and sun deck are well laid out. The outdoor shower room complete with toilet and beautiful stone wash basin is a treat! The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could need for dining at home. The best thing about the villa though is being able to walk straight onto the beach from the garden. This place is all you could want for a perfect beach holiday.
