St Tropez villa with pool close to harbour - La Tropezienne is an attractive villa situated in a secure, private residential domaine close to the centre of chic St Tropez and less than half a mile from sandy Bouillabaisse beach. It offers a heated pool, air conditioning, a pretty garden surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, an excellent outdoor dining terrace and very comfortable accommodation - all in a convenient location.
St Tropez itself is well known for offering upmarket shopping in tasteful boutiques; it also has excellent restaurants and cafés, the Musée de l'Annonciade with its renowned Post-Impressionist art collection, lively street markets, a quayside full of state-of-the-art yachts, and plenty of atmosphere. The charming streets of the old town are a delight to wander around, and you are never far from a view of the stunningly blue Mediterranean sea. The fame and popularity enjoyed by St Tropez in recent decades might suggest that it is quite a sizeable town, but in fact many visitors are surprised that it is still essentially a small French fishing port, and this adds considerably to its appeal.
The first time visitor to this region will be surprised at just how green it is. La Tropezienne is well positioned if you want to explore the area and visit attractive hilltop villages such as La Garde Freinet, Grimaud, Ramatuelle and Bormes les Mimosas, but equally you are just a short distance from some of the sandy beaches for which this stretch of the French Riviera is famous, such as Pampelonne, Tahiti Plage and L'Escalet. A wide range of sports and watersports is on offer locally too, so your holiday can be as active - or as inactive - as you could wish!
“A great St Tropez villa that ticks all the boxes for me: modern and sophisticated with a lovely garden typical of the south of France, yet close to the heart of St Tropez itself, so you can really make the most of this vibrant little town, its restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs, as well as its myriad of tempting little boutique shops. On Tuesdays and Saturdays everyone comes into town for the excellent market on the Place de Lices, and I do recommend a visit. You can round off the morning with lunch at Le Cafe (excellent steak tartare) or Le Sporting, a popular bar cum bistrot. The famous Senequier - the bar with the unmissable red awning alongside the harbour - is one of the places to go for a drink, to people watch, and to check out the magnificent yachts!”
