Overlooked by the lovely Sainte Brigitte chapel, perched on a high rocky outcrop and former volcano, is the town of Vidauban. Located in the Var region of southeastern France, it stretches out across the Maures plain and into the valley of the River Argens. It is here in this lush countryside, vineyards are dotted around, establishing Vidauban as a wine-making town. In the town you'll find inviting restaurants, pizzerias and cute cafes, and outside you'll find nature trails through parasol pine trees, ancient oaks and picturesque cliffs. Take a walk up to Ste Brigitte chapel, made with stone from the Maures, and take advantage of the beautiful views over Vidauban and beyond. For family adventures, why not take a canoe or kayak down the River Afgens, or head over to the aerial adventure park for some swinging through treetops. Finally, for a lovely day trip, the nearby villages of Lorgues and Flayosc are well worth seeing.
