“ This is a lovely villa for a holiday. You can relax in the mature gardens, maybe under the shady pergola, and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The pool is refreshing in the heat of the summer, and there is also a Jacuzzi. We are often asked for villas which are close to a village, and Casa Alessia is exactly that: local amenities including grocery shops, bars, a bank, a pharmacy, a post office and a hairdresser are just one mile away in Selci. About ten minutes' drive away in the village of Cantalupo is the most wonderful bakery, as well as larger supermarkets. From early spring to late summer many historic villages in this region hold festivals and sagre (gastronomic events), as well as stunning firework displays. Locally there are riding schools, golf courses, walking and trekking (with a local guide if required) and climbing. For day trips further afield you can park the car at the station in Gavignano (just 10 minutes' away), take the train into Rome (departures every hour) and explore the wonders of Italy's capital city. ”
