Lucca villa for large groups, sleeping up to 20 - Built at the end of the 18th century, Il Maniero is a large, classic villa in an idyllic country setting within a few minutes' drive of the splendid walled town of Lucca. With beautifully maintained lawns and gardens front and rear and a charming chapel in the grounds, this villa offers spacious accommodation for large parties wishing to enjoy everything northern Tuscany has to offer.

This stately residence is enhanced by original tiled flooring, beamed ceilings and ornate furnishings, including chandeliers and traditional antiques.  Great care and attention has been paid to every detail, resulting in practical yet elegant communal areas and comfortable bedrooms.

The location is excellent, just minutes from the charming town of Lucca. This remarkable walled city is perfect for shopping, eating out and sightseeing, and Pisa and Florence are also within easy striking distance - most importantly you can get to both by train to avoid having to park in these busy cities. The coast is within easy reach for the beaches of Tuscany, including fashionable Forte dei Marmi.  The famous Chianti Classico wine region is also within day trip distance, and tours to such gems as Siena and San Gimignano are highly recommended. “ This grand villa is ideal for large groups. Its proximity to the historic and vibrant town of Lucca is a big plus factor: you'll find great restaurants, cafes and shops here, and you're near enough to the coast whenever you fancy a day at the beach. The pool is set slightly away from the house and surrounded by lawn: there's a large garden to spend long lazy afternoons in! ”
