Italian farmhouse with pool - located in the hills some twenty minutes north of Lucca, Podere Valentina is in the little hamlet of Aquilea and within walking distance of a grocery shop, whilst the elegant town of Lucca offers a wider selection of shops and restaurants in its pedestrianised centre.
This charming property is an attractive barn renovation designed in a typically Tuscan style with wood beamed ceilings, terracotta flooring and stone archways, furnished with original antiques. The property enjoys great views and has well-kept gardens with lots of shady areas and a lovely covered terrace with facilities for al-fresco dining. A small annex can be made available for 4 additional guests at an extra charge. Although, not of the same high quality as the main house, it offers sound, comfortable accommodation, perhaps most suited to teenagers or overnight guests.
For an opportunity to experience authentic local 'cucina Toscana', the nearby town of Ponte a Moriano offers good eating in its trattoria and restaurants. For sightseeing further afield, Florence is reachable in just over an hour, Pisa in thirty minutes or alternatively a day’s sunbathing at the beach on the fashionable Versilia coast is approximately forty minutes. The spa town of Montecatini and its golf courses are accessible in approximately thirty minutes from this Italian farmhouse with pool.

“ Ideal for a small group, this charming little villa is in a great location just north of Lucca. If you don't know this town, you will be very glad that you chose to stay close by: it is a bustling place, full of restaurants, cafes and shops, with wonderful historic buildings (don't miss the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro) and intact city walls that you can stroll all the way round - or you can hire a bike and ride round! You're convenient for the seaside resorts of Versilia such as Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi and, if you want to do some sightseeing, Pisa and Florence are both ideal for day trips. And for something a little out of the ordinary, why not visit the world-famous Carrera marble quarries? Later you can relax with a drink or dinner on your covered terrace, enjoying the pool and the shade from the olive trees in the garden! ”
