Elegant Tuscan villa rental – Nestled among the unspoilt Casentino mountains, Villa Giuseppina is a fully restored country house whose understated elegance and tasteful décor make it a hidden gem of rural Tuscany where genuine character seamlessly blends with modern comfort. Terracotta floors, chestnut beamed ceilings, Travertino marble and natural stone walls are some of the features of Villa Giusepppina, and so is the original double-sided stone fireplace between two living rooms.
One of several villas built in a secluded private domain accessed through a private road, this villa enjoys a particularly peaceful atmosphere only broken by sounds from the surrounding countryside, a lovely complement to a relaxing holiday. Far reaching views can be enjoyed from most rooms and from the pool terrace, where forest clad mountains, meadows and valleys are the inspiring backdrop of a truly blissful Tuscan holiday.
Many pretty villages, such as Talla, with traditional country restaurants and little shops are a stone’s throw away from the villa, whereas Florence, Siena and Arezzo are all within 50 miles; the countryside views between these three, the area known as the 'golden triangle', are unsurpassed. An array of local wine and food fairs, music festivals and cultural events contribute to make Tuscany a very appealing destination for your family holiday.
“Elegant and newly restored villa with all modern comfort in the Casentino area. Nature-lovers will readily appreciate its lush vegetation including beech, pine and chestnut. Soul searchers will be particularly drawn to the three-faced peak, Mount Verna. This massive forest-covered mount is where Saint Francis of Assisi went for his spiritual retreats. Don't miss the small village of Pioppi. Considered one of Italy ’s most beautiful hamlets, Pioppi is high on the area’s ‘must-see’ list. Located in the heart of the Casentino valley, it is nestled within the National Park of the Casintinesi Forests. The town, host to the Castle of the Giudi Counts, is surrounded by its original ancient walls. The main town and nearest big city is Arezzo which is 20 minutes drive away. It offers cultural events (La Giostra del Saracino, the Mengo Music Festival) and local markets (Mercato Antiquario di Arezzo, every first weekend of each month, in the historic centre of Arezzo, there is a big country fair where you can buy antique furniture, pictures, photos and much more)”
