“ If walking or hiking is your thing then this is the place for you. The Cinque Terre boast some of the best coastline hiking in Italy. This villa would be the perfect place to stay for venturing out and discover this amazing region. One thing you must do is to walk the famous path ' Via Dell' Amore’ (' lovers walk)', which winds all the way through the 5 coastal villages of Cinque Terre and beyond. All these villages have bars and restaurants. Try to have dinner one evening at "Miky" in Monterosso (one of the 5 villages), a very good family-owned restaurant where the seafood and the Ligurian pasta specialities are excellent. And if you don’t want to hike, you can still visit the villages by train or by ferry from this lovely Cinque Terre villa. ”
We stayed at Casa Di Mare the first week in September and cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It had superb views of the sea and beach , was very clean and extremely well equipped, was central for Bonassola and had excellent train links to the Cinque Terre villages. Although only my husband and myself stayed at the villa it would be perfect for a group of friends or large family as there is a kitchen and the lounge on the ground floor leads onto the garden. On the next floor are the bedrooms and on the top floor is another small kitchen with a further lounge which leads out onto a further terrace . There are bathrooms on all floors. Lina, the lovely housekeeper, made us a superb 4 course meal on the evening of our arrival and although she only spoke a little English we were able to communicate with her with our limited Italian. Cleaning was provided mid week by Lucia and again she was excellent. We had to leave 400 euros security deposit with Lina but this was refunded the evening before we left. We had a lovely holiday at this villa and highly commend it. (Quality Villas comments - for future bookings we'll remind the caretaker that the security deposit, or a waiver, is held by our office in the UK)
The best variant of villa offered
Very convenient location of the villa in the very nice small village of Bonassola. Villa was well prepared and clean. A housekeeper was very helpful and the welcome dinner was a very pleasant and tasty surprise. Sometimes the communication was a bit difficult because everybody could hardly speak English. But anyway, some Italian words and ginger-language allowed to communicate each time. Gardener who cleaned the house did their job very well without being noticed. Beach in the village is very good, we used the payable one but the public one is good as weel. The beach is just 3 min walk from the villa. There are several small foodstores in Bonassola wher you can buy all food and fruits. But fresh fish can be bought in nearby village of Levanto (5 km by car or 2 km by bicycle). Small villages in Cinque Terra are great to visit but for holiday "sunbathing" stay Bonassola is much better due to its beach. Additionally, we visited Genova (aquarium is very interesting to children) and even Sienna (it's a pearl of Toskana).
Great Villa, Great Stay!

Casa di Mare was perfect for our family. We visited the Cinque Terra with our two young children. The location was central to the beach and offered spectular views. It was easy to get to the train station and to the village restaurants. Bonnassola was a nice alternative to the more popular villages of the Cinque Terra. Although we visited during the off season, the larger cites like Monterossa were still very crowded with tourists. Bonnassola was peaceful and the villagers were quite friendly. The villa was ideal for a stay for large families or families traveling together. The meal prepared for us on our first night in the villa was delicious. Although she doesn't speak very much English, the housekeeper was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Casa di Mare if traveling to the Cinque Terra.
