Lake Como is unique, and Bellagio is often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Lake.’ Set in an ideal position on the lake, this romantic little town offers panoramic views you can only dream of. It may be a small town, but it packs a lot in. Cobbled streets lined with stylish boutiques, cafes, wine grottos and world-class restaurants meander up the mountain and beg to be explored. Here you can lose whole afternoons just wandering around, but it’s also a great place to enjoy the lake itself. Whether you want to do a spot of windsurfing, jet-skiing, take a pleasurable ride on a boat or fly across the lake in a sea plane, there’s plenty to do. Bellagio's main town square is overlooked by the town church, the Romanesque Basilica di San Giacomo, which has some notable frescoes and statues, or take a ferry and simply enjoy the view. The villas along the shore are exquisite.
