Set on the stunning shores of Lake Como, in northern Italy is the pretty little village of Lezzeno. The last village you meet before the romantic town of Bellagio, Lezzano, with its ancient houses, scenic view of the lake and delightful restaurants is more than worth a visit. On a walk around the old village, you’ll find many architectural delights: the Church of San Quirico and Giuditta, Oratory of Santa Marta and St Joseph’s Church to name a few. But, it’s the scenic walks around the town that are truly enticing, such as the walk along the Strada Regia, and around the hills taking in the pretty foliage and stunning views over the lake. Although if you’re after something even more active, head to the shores for a variety of watersports. There are many restaurants in the area, ranging from fine-dining to organic meals at agriturismos and of course, locally sourced seafood at a lake-side restaurant.
