Nestled on the shore of Lake Como in the village of Lezzeno and just over three miles from the exclusive town of Bellagio, this elegant fully air conditioned property enjoys stunning views over the lake and the surrounding Alps, as well as its own direct access to a pebble beach.
Built in the 19th century, this imposing property has been completely renovated with great attention to every detail, resulting in an elegant yet comfortable family holiday home with modern amenities and classic features. The villa is ideally set within its own mature grounds encompassing a large lawn ideal for children to play; and for the grown-ups, subtle garden lighting creates a blissful ambience in which to relax in the evenings, overlooking the lake whilst listening to the water gently lapping at the shore below.
The villa also benefits from its own direct access to the lake and pebble beach and is just a short stroll to the village centre with a grocery store, bar (for that essential breakfast cappuccino), restaurants and pizzeria. Within the village is also a public boat landing stage where the passenger boat and hydrofoil allow transport to the many towns and villages around Lake Como. The local restaurateur organises boat fishing trips by night on the lake – not to be missed! Explorations of the area may include: visits to Villa Melzi in Bellagio, ferry trips to Villa Balbianello and Villa Carlotta in Tremezzina or Villa Monastero in Varenna; hikes from Bellagio up to Madonna del Ghisallo and Punta Spartivento (the best viewpoint of the entire lake!); or watersports of all sorts at Bellagio Water Sports Kayak Club.
What I like the most of this lake is the fact that its banks are quite close to each other and well connected via an efficient ferry service departing from the main villages, especially Bellagio. There is a lot to see and do here, whether you wish to relax or prefer activities and explorations. Bellagio Sport Centre is conveniently located a few miles from Sorriso Alpino, even for a nice lunch at the club restaurant. Canoes and Kayak can be hired from Bellagio. Walking, hiking and cycling trails are countless, often leading to the highest panoramic view points of the lake, such as Madonna del Ghisallo and Punta Spartivento above Bellagio, or Brunate, Civenna, Varenna, Bellano, Piona and so on. Both branches of the lake are dotted with magnificent historic villas (in Varenna, Bellagio, Tremezzina, Cernobbio, Como) but also wonderful Medieval churches such as Como’s Duomo and Piona’s perched Abbey. Within just 10 miles from your villa, children and adults alike will enjoy the exciting climbing attraction of the Jungle Raider Park in Civenna – provided you are not scared of heights, though!

The villa itself was lovely
'Villa Sorriso Alpino was the idyllic spot to enjoy the beauty of lake Como. The villa itself was lovely with modern conveniences and was the perfect size for our group. The outside garden was wonderful to spend a sunny afternoon relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sunsets.
Valentina who greeted us could not have been more helpful on our arrival. She was fantastic. At the end when we were checking out there was a mix up with departure times but she sorted that out without too much of an effort.'
