Puglia town house with roof terrace pool - Situated in the main square of a small Salento village near Tricase, this stylish town house boasts several terraces, a plunge pool and a secluded, shady courtyard; all this just steps away from the cafe, shops and restaurants and a short drive from both the Adriatic and Ionic coasts.
Right at the heart of this typical old Apulian village, this deceptively spacious town house is a hidden gem whose charm has been revived through a sympathetic renovation, using local white limestone, neutral soft furnishing and a selection of historic artefacts The outdoor living at Tesoretto must be the highlight of any stay, with a charming courtyard and large multi-aspect roof terrace providing areas for sunbathing, taking a refreshing dip in the plunge-pool, or just relaxing in the shade of the outdoor dining terrace with an ice-cold drink from the summer kitchen. The roof terrace looks across the square to the ancient town hall at the heart of the village, so as the day progresses, you can enjoy watching the world go by from your privileged perspective and see this sleepy little village coming alive after the afternoon siesta, with local Italians strolling down the streets towards the nearest ice-cream parlour. As night falls the square lights up providing a magical backdrop for roof-top dinners al fresco under the stars. Spending a few hours on the beach couldn't be easier, having the Mediterranean sea at your feet. If you head eastwards you will come across many elegant villages, rocky outcrops and caves along the Adriatic coastline, with Santa Cesarea Terme and Castro Marina being the most renowned of all. Grotta Zinzulusa is a spectacular geological site in Castro Marina open to visitors for guided tours among the mesmerizing stalagmites and stalactites. Otranto and Gallipoli are an absolute must and both within half-an-hour drive from Tesoretto, whereas picturesque Santa Maria di Leuca, is just 8 miles to the south.

“ This is a deceptively spacious house; a small frontage onto the main village square hides a spacious interior and fabulous roof terrace. The owner can arrange loads of extra luxuries, from chauffeur services to a rooftop evening meal prepared and served by renowned local pastry chefs. Besides the wonderful coast, just a few minutes' drive from this house, there are several historical monuments worth a visit in Tiggiano. The most important ones are Palazzo Baronale, Torre Nasparro and Oratorio S.Michele. Pizzerias and tavernas are just a few minutes' walk from this house. In nearby Tricase you will find some fine restaurants such as Anime Sante, by the port and Localnda del Levante in Piazza della Verdura. ”
