Sicily modern villa with infinity pool & views – Proudly set on a hilltop commanding uninterrupted views over the undulating landscape of North-Western Sicily, Amaryllis is a fully air-conditioned luxury property with infinity pool, walking distance of a restaurant and local shop. The nearest village is only a few minutes’ drive and the Mediterranean Sea just ten miles away.
Perfectly integrated in the surrounding landscape, Amaryllis’ modern sleek design incorporates a number of traditional features typical of Sicilian country homes, such as wooden-beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls, as well as period furniture and ceramic tiles with matching soft furnishing. Relaxing days can be spent by the pool, soaking up the awe-inspiring beauty of the surrounding landscape, culminating in an evening meal under the covered loggia in front of spectacular sunsets.
Amaryllis is equidistant from Segesta, Erice and Castellammare del Golfo, on the north coast. Thus you have the choice to easily reach the Greek temple in Segesta or the Medieval old town in Erice or just relax by the sea after a short drive. Rocky and sandy beaches in Monte Cofano's Nature Reserve are only ten miles away; further north is also Zingaro's spectacular Nature Reserve, not to be missed! Whilst in Sicily, why not visit the island of Favignana, just off the port of Trapani. Often referred to as a paradise for scuba divers, this island still retains much of the Southern Italian timeless charm, with its old villages built around the piazza with little pavement cafes and restaurants. Cycling is the best way to explore the island.

The ancient medieval village of Erice is a short drive from the villa. The town is an incredible labyrinth of little cobbled streets and passages wide enough to accommodate one person at a time. Its historic centre is full of local handicraft shops – ceramics, carpets and traditional almond and candied fruit sweeties. In the vicinity you will find the lovely fishing village of Tonnara di Bonagìa where you can visit the boathouse. Don’t miss to visit Favignana, an island that is blessed with lovely coastlines immersed in glorious crystal-clear water. They call the island La Farfalla due to its butterfly shape. During the summer there are many ferries from Trapani (about 20 minutes by hydrofoil to Favignana).”
Amaryllis is an extremely well appointed, comfortable, and impressive villa! Views from the villa are breathtaking! The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure the comfort of guests. We hired the 'cook service' for three nights. A husband and wife team, lovely people and first class cooking!
