In need of sun? With an average of 330 days of sun a year, Morocco could be just the ticket. Aglou Plage just north of Tiznit, in the south-west of Morocco is a world away from its neighbour. This stretch of untouched golden sandy beach is ideal for relaxing and surfing. With a lovely elevated promenade lined with cafes, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious coffee and watch the surf or experience a rather spectacular sunset across the ocean towards Aglou. Then, enjoy a walk along the cliffs and walkways, visit the primitive cave houses dug into the rocks and marabout tombs on the beach, for something a little different. A day trip out to the old medina town of Tiznit with its historic city walls, renowned silver jewellers and fabulous restaurants is highly recommended.
