Morocco beach villa with private pool - Dar Aglou is a spacious and beautifully equipped villa with its own private pool, situated in grounds which overlook a wonderful sandy beach 56 miles south of Agadir near the town of Tiznit. Tastefully furnished to a high standard, Dar Aglou offers excellent value year round in this fabulous location.

This domaine is a luxurious oasis offering a sense of escapism in a remote landscape; miles of deserted sandy beach, the vast Atlantic sea stretching to the horizon, and mountains providing the backdrop.  But you'll find everything you need at the seaside village of Aglou Plage just two miles away by car, although if you want to stretch your legs you can also walk to the village along the beach. There is a lovely promenade with a few beachside restaurants, as well as a grocery store selling fresh bread.  Just outside the village, local fishermen sell their fresh-caught fish, squid, crab and lobster at the fish market.
A car is a must so you can venture further afield; head inland to the traditional walled town of Tiznit, which is steeped in Moroccan history and culture. Here you will find more restaurants, banks, shops and colourful souks selling all manner of fresh produce and leather goods, with a labyrinth of silver jewellery shops at the centre.  A pleasant 25 minute drive south along the coast brings you to Mirleft where you'll find a market each Monday as well as French and ethnic restaurants: in the Old Fort there is a wonderful Moroccan restaurant with lovely views.

Sports enthusiasts have plenty of choice, with quad biking, deep sea fishing, surfing, hang-gliding, paragliding, 4x4 adventures and horse-riding all available in the area.

“ This is a lovely villa on a secure domain.  The minute I walked through the door on my first visit here I thought it was wonderful.  The garden is packed with geraniums, palms, hibiscus and even its own resident tortoises!  I fell in love with this domain and return as often as I can. The on site manager Aisha offers excellent service, meaning all concierge type needs are taken care of.  Visit Aglou Plage in the morning  to buy the freshest fish and seafood ever and Mirleft and Tiznit should be visited.  Mirleft has some good restaurants especially Damiens restaurant which can be found in the house book.  Tiznit is famous for its silverware and it has an excellent food market both in the town and in the walled Medina.  I just adore this part of Morocco. ”

  • July in Dar Aglou

Fantastic villa in beautiful, secure location with attentive, considerate staff. Very comfortable. Elegant. Free range tortoises in verdant gardens! Pool clean and well maintained. Minus points (for some): No wifi. No air con. Building work nearby - it didn't affect us. Villa beach has huge waves and strong tide if you like surfing: no lifeguard. Sea mist in July means there can be the odd cool day with no sunshine - but that offers respite from the heat and then you go sightseeing to evocative Tiznit or stylish Mirleft. All in all - highly recommended.
